Uruguay — Inedge Power has successfully completed the installation and commissioning of a 125 kW / 261 kWh liquid-cooled commercial and industrial (C&I) energy storage cabinet at a factory in Uruguay. The system is now in operation. This is Inedge Power’s first C&I energy storage project in South America and another solid step forward for its C&I cabinet products in overseas applications.

Under 2 m², Forklift-Ready, and Grid-Connected on Landing
After the equipment arrived at the factory, the technical team confirmed site conditions, grid parameters and interconnection plans with the customer in advance. Unpacking, lifting, positioning and wiring were completed smoothly.

The cabinet measures 1,450 × 1,300 × 2,150 mm and occupies only about 1.9 m²—less than one-third of a standard parking space. It does not require a large civil foundation. With a weight of 2.6 t, it can be unloaded and positioned with an ordinary forklift.

Once in place, it was connected to the 0.4 kV grid and the charge/discharge strategy was set, putting the system into operation. On site, engineers verified PCS grid-connection parameters, BMS communication status and EMS dispatch logic. After confirming that the liquid-cooling unit was operating normally and the cell temperature difference was within a reasonable range, the system was formally switched on.

Factory-Commissioned, Ready to Work On Site
The “plug-and-play” nature of the cabinet is evident. Before delivery, the liquid-cooling system, PCS, battery clusters, fire protection and EMS had all completed system-level integrated commissioning. On site, only grid connection, communication confirmation and strategy setting were required, eliminating the complicated on-site integration and commissioning typical of traditional energy storage projects.

With limited manpower at the customer’s factory, Inedge Power completed as much work as possible before delivery.

The cabinet uses 314 Ah cells with 0.5C charge/discharge, 1P52S modules and a 1P260S cluster. It is paired with a 125 kW PCS and a 0.4 kV grid connection. The BMS and EMS are connected through a DTU controller, allowing charge/discharge strategies to be flexibly adjusted according to factory load.

The liquid-cooling solution maintains a small temperature difference, improving cell consistency and helping extend service life. The 125 kW / 261 kWh capacity configuration matches the factory’s peak-shaving and demand-management needs. Its small footprint and flexible installation make it suitable for space-constrained scenarios such as factories.

Remote O&M Support for Overseas Projects
C&I cabinets may appear standardized, but grid conditions, factory load characteristics and O&M practices vary from country to country. Inedge Power considers these variables as much as possible before shipment so that the equipment can operate reliably once it arrives on site.

To address O&M challenges in overseas projects, Inedge Power’s remote O&M platform provides real-time monitoring and early warning of system status, enabling the customer in Uruguay to receive continuous technical support.

Market Outlook
Uruguay has a high share of renewable energy generation, and the grid’s demand for flexible regulation resources is increasing. Factory users are also paying more attention to electricity cost management and power supply reliability.
