## Project Background: High Humidity Is an Unavoidable Test for Energy Storage in Central China
Central China has an average annual humidity of around 80%, and during the plum rain season the air is heavy with moisture. For energy storage systems, condensation, insulation degradation and cell inconsistency are real problems that cannot be avoided. Inedge Power (雅集能源) has shipped a 20-ft liquid-cooling battery container for a 2.5MW/5MWh BESS project in Central China. The project was built and tested around one theme from start to finish: high humidity — with a clear goal of solving on-site problems in the factory before shipment.
## Production and Integration: High-Humidity Design Inside a 20-ft Container
The 20-ft liquid-cooling battery container must house two battery clusters, liquid-cooling piping, fire detection and spray systems, combustible gas detectors, water sprinkler interfaces, HVAC units and dehumidifiers. Space is tight, so the routing of wiring, piping and communication harnesses is planned in advance.
During system integration, Inedge Power incorporated sealing, dehumidification and insulation requirements for high-humidity environments into the manufacturing process. Critical connectors and electrical clearances are controlled to long-term high-humidity operating standards, reducing the risk of condensation and insulation degradation on site — keeping potential field issues solved in the factory.
## Factory Acceptance Testing: Dehumidification and Fire Suppression, Neither Can Be Skipped
Full-Power Charge/Discharge and Continuous Liquid-Cooling Operation
At Inedge Power's test workshop, engineers first ran full-power charge and discharge, focusing on the inter-cluster temperature difference and passive balancing status of the two battery clusters. Passive balancing data changes slowly, so the screen needs to be watched patiently. The liquid-cooling system ran continuously to simulate high-humidity conditions, confirming no condensation inside the container and cell temperature differences within a reasonable range.
## Five-Layer Fire Suppression Linkage Tested One by One
Fire suppression linkage is the centerpiece of testing: pack-level detection triggering, cluster-level spray activation, fluoroketone release logic, combustible gas detection alarms and water sprinkler linkage — all five protection layers were simulated item by item, with signal uploads and action sequences confirmed repeatedly. The more layers there are, the more important it is to ensure no false alarms and no missed alarms.
## Continuous Operation of HVAC and Dehumidifiers
The two HVAC units and dehumidifiers also underwent continuous operation testing, simulating the high-humidity plum rain season in Central China to confirm that in-container humidity is controlled within the set range. The entire system completed integrated commissioning in the factory before shipment, so it can be connected and put into operation on site with minimal field commissioning.
## Shipment: Packed as a Whole Container, Ready to Depart
After all test data passed, Inedge Power's dispatch team moved the 20-ft container into packing. The container was sealed for protection, and shipping documents, wiring labels and commissioning records were archived together. In the dispatch area, the container was lifted onto the truck, ready to depart for the Central China project site. Once on site, the equipment will be positioned and connected as planned — the factory commissioning and testing already completed are designed to minimize on-site effort and speed up commissioning.
## Long-Term O&M: Remote Monitoring for High-Humidity Environments
For long-term operation in high-humidity environments, Inedge Power's remote O&M platform provides real-time monitoring and early warning of in-container temperature, humidity and cell status. Customers also receive continuous technical support at the project site.
## Conclusion
From production integration to factory testing and loading for shipment, this 20-ft liquid-cooling battery container has already run through dehumidification, insulation and fire suppression linkage under high-humidity conditions in the factory. The equipment is on its way and will soon be operating at the Central China project site, providing flexible regulation capacity for the local grid. Inedge Power builds the product solidly and tests it thoroughly — that is how equipment stays reliable in operation.
